We support our local community with a number of programs. Our Back Pack Drive, Coat Drive, Blankets for Foster Children and Reach Out and Read service our community. See below for more information.
Community Service Projects
BACK PACK DRIVE
Each year Solano County Soroptimist funds and distributes backpacks stuffed with necessities, toiletries and stuffed animals and are provided to Child Protective Services for distribution to displaced children.
coat drive
Each year Solano County Soroptimist funds and provides coats in conjunction with the “Fun on the Run” program in Fairfield. These coats are distributed to local youth from four to fifteen years of age.
blankets for foster children
Every year the club makes blankets to give to the foster children of Solano County.
reach out and read
This Solano County Library Literacy Program is the year round recipient of children’s books from our Club. Each book is given in the name of a guest speaker, new member, or a recognized Soroptimist member.
