Girls Circle

 Girls Circle is a program conducted at the Matt Garcia PAL Center serving girls ages 12-18.  The program is a professionally facilitated, structured, weekly discussions that focuses on many themes important to the lives and issues facing young girls in our community.   

GIRLS CIRCLE GOALS

The goal of Girls Circle is to foster a sense of confidence and self-reliance among its participants.  Organized around topical modules lasting 8-10 weeks, girls are guided through activities that help them focus their attention on relationships, attitudes, goals, hopes and fears.  Some popular topics have been “Developing Positive Relationships,” “Body Image,” and “Friendships.”

Soroptimist members joined Girls Circle at Movie Night featuring the film "I am Malala" followed by discussion. A fantastic evening for all!

Positive Reinforcement

A night at the movies! Soroptimist members join Girls Circle participants to view " Hidden Figures".

Nutrition

Soroptimists provide a nutritious meal for the girls following their meetings.
